Introduction to Machine Learning

This course will give you a basic understanding of the data science concepts behind machine learning. You should emerge from it with an understanding of data science frameworks, how machine learning affects business decision-making, and equipped to discuss machine learning projects with data scientists and business users.

User Avatar

Machine learning is a branch of artificial intelligence that mimics human thinking to identify and analyse patterns in data, learning from experience and using analysis to generate predictions. It is employed across a range of industries to maximise profit through efficient use of infrastructure and logistics.

This course introduces you to key concepts and terminology used in machine learning to help you understand how machine learning works and can be applied.

It will walk you through what is required to set up machine learning project pipelines, and introduce you to the skills and methodology used to prepare machine learning algorithms for the internet of things and gaming-related machine learning. You will also examine various examples of virtual and augmented reality gaming.

Who is it for?

Management decision-makers, new data scientists, data analysts, enterprise architects, delivery leaders.

Certificates are awarded on the following basis:

  • Certificate of completion: Cumulative average of 80% in online tests
  • Certificate of participation: Cumulative average of 50%-79% for online tests
  • Certificate of attendance: Cumulative average of less than 50% for online tests
