Emerging Leadership Development Programme

This course will support emerging leaders to build new skills, build upon existing skills and sculpt their own leadership and management style to confidently lead. By the end of this course emerging leaders would have explored various key general management principles, as well as developed a deeply personal and introspective understanding of the self and how better to relate to and manage teams.
These skills will allow the emerging leader to harness their personal power, to make decisions in the context of their environment, and enhance their leadership effectiveness.

You will cover

The course is broken down into learning pods: Leading self, leading team, leading organisation and leading world. Each learning pod is supported by a coaching pod where your learn­ing coach will guide you through application of learning to your workplace.

These learning pods are broken up into 2-hour virtual class­room sessions. All virtual sessions are facilitator-led (faculty) and the entire course is embedded and supported by a learning coach.

Course prerequisites

  • No formal tertiary qualifications are required.
  • 1 – 2 years of management experience at entry level junior management.
  • English language competence at NQF level 4 or equivalent.
  • Access to data and internet

Course fees

55 Hours of virtual classroom learning over 5 months.

The 55 hours are divided up over 2-hour virtual classroom sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
